➣ Q: What is a zine?A: Generally speaking, a zine is an organized series of works—art and fanfiction—in a collected format. PDFs & bound books are the most common types of zines.
➣ Q: What is the age requirement for this project?A: At the time of application, potential moderators must be 18+. Potential contributors must be 16+.
➣ Q: What sort of content is acceptable / unacceptable for this project?A: Anything that would fly in the show is acceptable for this project — i.e. violence, blood, alcohol consumption, etc. Explicit intercourse will not be allowed, but suggestive pieces are welcome.
➣ Q: Where can I go if I have questions about this project?A: While the [interest check] is open, please submit questions there. After the IC is closed, you can submit questions via [email], reach out via DM/inbox on [bluesky], [tumblr] & [twitter/x], or you can leave an anonymous question for me (Ash/Quill) on [dreamwidth].Contributors will have access to a private Discord-server during the production period where they can ask questions.
➣ Q: In the event that this project is physical, what is the approach to shipping?A: As the shipping mod will likely be based out of the US, we will have forms for folks to sign-up for international group orders if that is something they're interested in. We will do what we can to keep the project affordable, but this is the best way to keep shipping costs down. There will be a digital option in either case.
➣ Q: What are the major differences for contributors in a digital vs. physical project?A: There are some technical differences for artists (RGB vs CMYK color profile), but the biggest difference will be the application process. For a digital-only project, the contributor cutoff would be numbers-based. (I.E. first come, first serve.)For a physical/digital project, it would be an application process with print sales in mind. (I.E. profile review/acceptance.)
➣ Q: Will contributors receive a copy of the project?A: Contributors will receive a free PDF copy of the work for sure! As for physical products — it depends on shipping costs. This will be addressed post-production.
➣ Q: Which charity do you plan to donate to?A: Results to be determined by the interest check. As of Dec 1, 2025, there are 3 options — [The Trevor Project], [Wildlife Conservation Society], [Direct Relief Foundation]
➣ Q: What is the host's event/zine experience?A: I have hosted 3 zines & 2 exchanges. Most recent projects: TWST After Dark, Sonadow Exchange (2025)I have been a writer in 10+ zines, most recently Tails & Tomes. I have been a beta reader in 5+ projects, most recently for Too Many Luffies.
➣ Q: What is the approach to drops?A: TL;DR — communication is key. If anyone needs to drop for any reason, please let the mod team know as quickly as possible. The sooner we know, the sooner we can work on securing pinch hitters.
➣ Q: What is the project's policy on generative/AI content?A: Absolutely no generative content is acceptable at any time for this project. Submitted portfolios should not include AI work and works produced for the project should not include AI either. If any contributors are found using generative content, they will be removed ASAP.
